Coastal Oceanography & Autonomous Systems (COAST) Lab
Undergraduate Researcher
UC Santa Barbara
Configuring, repairing, and developing programs critical to the communication between various oceanographic equipment.
Microfluidics Lab & Innovation Workshop
Workshop Wizard
California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI)
Leading training classes on various types of 3D printers, CNC and manual machines, laser cutters, waterjet cutters, microfluidics/PDMS processing tools, and on lab safety. Collaborating with university researchers and start-up companies to design and fabricate parts with these tools.
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI)
UNOLS-MATE Intern
R/V Atlantis
Worked with the AUV Sentry team aboard the R/V Atlantis to deploy the deep submergence vehicle in support of research on hydrothermal plumes. Participated in the integration of numerous complex sensing systems, assisted with vehicle maintenance, took watchstanding shifts to send real-time commands, and conducted post-dive data recovery and processing to pinpoint ideal coordinates to sample hydrothermal vent plumes. Lived at sea for the duration of the cruise.
